More than 120 kilometres of hiking paths mean you may get lost in the spectacular countryside.

Lake Winnipesaukee is New Hampshire’s biggest and most picturesque lake. Water sports enthusiasts love this east coast holiday location which is the best places in east coast. On the lake, you may kayak, swim, and jet ski (or bring your own boat). Nearby mountains provide spectacular driving and trekking. Fall foliage is a must, but Lake Winnipesaukee is beautiful year-round which is another places to visit in east coast.
7. Great Smoky Mountains, NC+TN

Great Smoky Mountains National Park had nearly 12 million visitors last year. It has almost 500,000 acres of unspoiled nature, including mountains, waterfalls, and forests, frequently blanketed by “smoky” fog. Cades Cove, Rainbow Falls, and Mount Le Conte are popular attractions.
Gatlinburg is a great home base and one of the greatest hidden US vacation locations. This mountain village is fantastic for all four seasons, including autumn foliage and winter skiing and ice skating. Pigeon Forge has restaurants and entertainment.
8. Newport

Newport, Rhode Island is noted for its Gilded Age homes. Along Newport’s windswept shore, wealthy families have vacation homes. Tour the Newport Mansions to see lavish homes with ocean views. Breakers, Marble House, and Rosecliff are favourites. There are numerous more exhibiting fin-de-siècle dynasties like the Vanderbilts’ luxury and debauchery.
9. Nashville is a popular East Coast destination.

Nashville, Tennessee, lies inland yet near the east coast. Nashville has a great country music culture and fashionable restaurants and pubs to places to visit in east coast. It has the Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, and a Parthenon replica (hence Nashville is sometimes called the Athens of the South).
10. New Hampshire Mountains

The White Mountains provide outdoor fun. This is an east coast hotspot. This New Hampshire area is a New England must-see. It has beautiful trees, streams, gorges, and waterfalls. Bostonians love weekends in the White Mountains. Kancamagus Highway and Franconia Notch State Park are must-sees for nature lovers. North Conway is known for its stores and antiques.
11. Florida’s Everglades

Everglades National Park is a must-see near Miami. This 1.5-million-acre park has wetland beauty and diverse flora and wildlife. You may even see a Florida panther if you’re fortunate. Airboat or kayak the park’s mangrove waterways.

Boston, Massachusetts has old cobblestone streets and a gorgeous waterfront neighbourhood. New England revolves around Boston. World-class metropolis with colonial, small-town roots. The Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall, and Beacon Hill are my favourites. New England Road trippers shouldn’t miss these east coast sights.
Newbury Street, Rose Kennedy Greenway, and Boston Harborwalk are contemporary and cosmopolitan. Boston restaurants provide fresh seafood and international meals. Nature is nearby. Stroll around the city’s parks, including The Boston Public Garden and Boston Common places to visit in east coast.
13. Shenandoah

Mid-Atlantic nature getaway? 75 miles from D.C. lies Shenandoah National Park. It’s along the Appalachian Trail, a stretch of terrain featuring mountain views and greenery. Shenandoah National Park has 200,000 acres of beautiful woods, waterfalls, and wildflower-covered slopes. There are hundreds of kilometres of beginner to expert hiking paths.
14. Stowe

Stowe is one of my favourite New England weekend escapes and an east coast road trip destination. Stowe, Vermont, has a taste of the Austrian Alps. The Von Trapp family left Austria under German control in WWII and created the Trapp Family Lodge. This hotel and the nearby Innsbruck Inn resemble western Austrian cottages. Alpine architecture and surrounding mountains provide a cosy atmosphere.
15. Miami

The perfect vacation spot for young families and those young at heart. Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld are in Orlando. Each park’s attractions bring out your inner child.
16. Finger Lakes

Finger Lakes are a great place to physically and mentally forget oneself. The region’s pure scenery and exquisite wines are enough to distract you from all of life’s concerns. No surprise it’s a top east coast vacation resort. Explore Watkins Glen State Park’s gorges, then sip wine at Seneca Lake is another on the list of best east coast cities to visit.
